Privacy Policy

CareerIbis helps candidates recognise, strengthen and communicate relevant evidence for a specific role, then prepare role-targeted CVs, resumes and covering letters grounded in their actual background.

During private testing, CareerIbis may collect information you provide directly, including:

• account information, such as your email address
• CV or resume content
• job descriptions
• application context and notes you choose to provide
• Candidate Profile entries you save
• Alignment Reports generated for your projects
• rewritten CVs/resumes and covering letters generated for your projects
• export and usage records related to your account
• basic technical information needed to keep the service working

During private testing, CareerIbis stores the information above in hosted account storage tied to your CareerIbis account. Only you (when signed in) can access your own saved projects, Candidate Profile, Alignment Reports, rewrites and covering letters.

Stored account data may include your CV/resume text, job descriptions, application context and notes, Candidate Profile entries, Alignment Reports, rewritten CVs/resumes, covering letters, and export and usage records.

CareerIbis may process CVs, resumes, job descriptions and application context to produce alignment reports, role-fit analysis, rewritten CV/resume content, covering letters and related application guidance.

You should not upload unnecessary sensitive personal information. For example, unless it is directly relevant to your application, avoid including information such as full home address, date of birth, passport numbers, national ID numbers, financial information, health information, or other highly sensitive details.

CareerIbis uses information to:

• provide the role-alignment and document preparation features
• generate role-alignment analysis and application documents
• save account and Candidate Profile information where enabled
• calculate monthly usage and Application Pack allowances
• improve reliability, usability and safety during private testing
• diagnose technical issues
• communicate with private testers when needed

CareerIbis uses AI processing to generate Alignment Reports and application documents. When you request AI generation, CV/resume text, job descriptions, application context and relevant Candidate Profile content may be sent to a third-party AI processing provider/gateway to produce the requested output.

You should not submit information you do not want processed for this purpose. AI output may be incomplete, inaccurate or unsuitable in some cases, and you remain responsible for reviewing, editing and approving any generated content before using it in a job application.

CareerIbis stores account-level usage events so we can calculate monthly usage and Application Pack allowances. A usage record may include the event type (for example, an Application Pack event created when an Alignment Report is prepared), a reference to the project it relates to, the month/period it applies to, and a timestamp.

Usage records do not store your CV/resume text, job descriptions, Alignment Reports, rewrites or covering letter content.

Deleting a saved project does not reset your monthly usage history. Usage history may be retained for monthly usage calculation and abuse prevention.

CareerIbis does not sell user data.

CareerIbis may use authentication providers, including Google sign-in, to allow private testers to access their account. Authentication providers may process information in accordance with their own privacy policies.

During private testing, you can delete your saved test projects at any time from the Account page. Deleting saved projects removes the associated project intake, Alignment Reports, rewrites and generated application documents (covering letters and refinements) from your account.

Deleting saved projects does not delete your Candidate Profile. Account-level usage history may be retained for monthly usage calculation and abuse prevention, and is not reset by deleting projects.

When saved projects are deleted, associated CV/resume text, job descriptions, reports, rewrites and generated documents are removed, but account-level usage and activity records may retain a minimal project label (target role and company) for usage history, audit and abuse-prevention purposes. Activity records never retain CV, job description, report, rewrite or covering letter content.

Full account deletion is not self-serve yet during private testing. To request full deletion of your account and associated data, contact privacy@careeribis.com.

You can choose what information to provide. You should only upload or save information that you are comfortable using for private testing.

This Privacy Policy may be updated as CareerIbis develops, especially before public launch.
