Privacy and document storage
Where your CV or resume, job description, Alignment Reports and rewrites live, and what happens when you delete a project.
This guide describes how your material is stored and accessed inside CareerIbis. It does not replace the Privacy Policy or Terms; those documents are the authoritative source. Where this guide simplifies, the policy wins.
What is stored in your account
- Your Candidate Profile.
- Saved projects, including the role, company, job description, CV or resume text and any application context you added.
- Alignment Reports, rewrites and refinements generated for those projects.
- Usage and Application Pack history at account level.
Why it is stored
It is stored so that you can come back to a project without losing work, so future Alignment Reports can draw on your Candidate Profile, and so that we can show you an accurate view of remaining packs and past activity.
Account-based access
Your material is accessible under your own signed-in account. It is not shared between accounts and it is not shown to other users. CareerIbis staff access to individual accounts is limited to what is needed to operate, support, secure and maintain the service. Where relevant, staff access may occur to investigate a support issue you have raised, to protect the security or integrity of the service, or to meet a legal or operational requirement. The Privacy Policy is the authoritative source on this.
Deletion and retention
- You can delete individual projects from your workspace. Deleted projects remove the underlying documents from your view.
- A minimal activity label (target job title and company) may remain on activity rows, marked as project deleted. CV, job description and generated document content is not retained on those rows.
- For account-level deletion or export of your data, contact hello@careeribis.com.
Support tickets
Support tickets you create inside CareerIbis include the subject and message you write. You can optionally link a ticket to a project; when you do, we see only the project title and your ticket messages. We do not see the CV, job description, Alignment Report or rewrite behind that project.
Sensitive information: what to avoid uploading
- Government identification numbers, financial account details or health information beyond what a CV genuinely requires.
- Third-party confidential information you are not permitted to share.
- Passwords or access credentials of any kind.
- Personal data belonging to someone else (for example, a colleague's CV) unless you have their permission.
What CareerIbis does not do
- We do not sell user data.
- We do not publish your material.
- We do not claim to bypass any employer hiring system.
